SKETCH..DT

 Hello everyone,

A new challenge today over at As You Like It  and Brenda is our hostess and the theme is " SKETCH" 

shows us and tell us why, it is your favourite sketch..

Mmmm..well, to be honest, I think I have only ever followed a sketch once before for another DT..I'm inclined to wander off from what I'm supposed to be doing but  this, time, I did good..

I found this online, and thought it looked good for a tag..

or vintage style.I just liked it and now it is going to be my favourite..

so printed this out, no good if I don't, and then cut all my elements..

and layered them up onto the tag, so that part was good to go..

To make those circles interesting I die cut numbers in circles

and I ended up with the positive and negative.

Then the flag tags or whatever you call them I cut in design papers.

covered the tag as well and then all those bits were ready..

Follow the sketch, follow the sketch..

Gluing the small numbers underneath the circle..

follow the sketch..

Which then went on top of those flag tags.

Follow the sketch..

DONE!! I did it.....then..

I loaded it up with all sorts of other stuff, couldn't help it, I just had to..

but the original sketch is still there, just covered a little bit..

So there you go..

LETS GET ROCKED... DT

 Hello everyone,

DT time for LITTLE RED WAGON  and our fabulousKate is hostess with the theme ...

" LET'S GET ROCKED " - Inspired by a rock song and please let us know the song in your post.

Not hard in fact super fun....

Can you guess what mine is?...

I have a dog whose patches turn into holes, that's not what I wanted..

So cut him again in black, that didn't work either, 

the lights were on but no one was home!!!!

Then I got it, I just cut little bits of black and glued over the patches..

now he looks complete..after inking,

 and used a pen around his nose, eyelid and added some lashes..

dir cut my drum set and some musical instruments...

Have you guessed yet?

Made a vintage tag and already to glue it all together..

gave the band a name...

made the lashes a bit darker and longer..

and done..

You ain't nothing but a hound dog, 

Elvis Presley...

Fun right?..

THESE WERE INTERESTING...AND FUN.

 Hello everyone,

My daughter in law works at my Son's garage, he is the mechanic, and they get all sorts of boxes, and packets, and stuff which they pass to me and say, do something..even car filters, I've and a wee play will share later..

Today, I'm sharing these cute folder things and show what I did with them..

These are the little folders, they held something mechanical, I don't know..

and these arrived from Temu,

 I don't like the white edges, but there are loads of them, and they are stickers..

So, I inked them a bit and the inked bit sort of went into the background..

I covered these little folders in old book pages, 

and inked up with the right brown!!!!!

added some kraft pockets, some small plant washi tape stickers here and there..

and then just went silly, with washi stickers, all sorts, no theme,

 just added them in clusters..

layer over each other..

and just keep going..

See how the man blends a bit better..

I made tags and used my ball chin to link up, that was fun.

The number is the negative of what I call my army numbers??

Clipped everything together and clipped onto the card.

And standing up, I love them, easy and fun..

sort of like tags

VINTAGE NOTEBOOK..

 Hello everyone,

I have a little notebook to share with you today and a " What Not To Do Moment"..

At my local Supermarket, back to school was going on a few weeks ago

and these notebooks were flying out the door for50cents..

So, what was I to do..I bought a bunch..

Wrapped the first one in brown paper like my school days.

Then using one 6x6 paper pad, I covered and decorated the whole book..

by mainly tearing the papers for the inside covers..

on the actual pages I fussy cut around the flowers a little bit

 and glued one page on each page..

Until the book pages each had a pretty edging..

Scraps were saved to cover at food pouches..

My hands were getting pretty stiff by now..

But I loved the thickness of them all..

and that is when it all turned to CUSTARD!!!

I started inking, why, oh why did I think the new TH scorched timber would be perfect..

it wasn't, it was too dark, but did I stop, no, like a twit I kept going..I'll get to that again shortly..

A parcel arrived and I had found these frames on Temu,oredered them,

 so had to stop and sot them out.

Picking frames for my ladies and the front cover..

They are so lovely, thin, not thick paper, but easy enough to play with..

UGH..that brown is awful.

Started adding frames inside to help tone the brown..

The in came the water and paper towels..

Then started making pockets, which I was not going to do..

lace and burlap ribbon from my stash came in handy..

pockets and tags and little ephemeras for decoration..

I made a bunch of those for quick things and still have some in my stash..

Inking does not look too bad here..

I actually sprayed the pages with water then wiped off as much ink as I could.

some worked some didn't..

Lovely frilly lace on the front..

decorated the worst of the pages with more papers and fussy cut roses..bits

of old book pages glue in, now the thing was getting thicker and thicker which was not my intention in the beginning..

This is as best as they got..

Never mind, it is still pretty...and thick, 

and tied with a ribbon and some keys as dangles.
