TWO MORE..

Hello everyone...

My day off today and had a great time...the weather was yucky, so just stayed at home and played in my craft space..can't show you yet..but it turned out pretty neat and I'm happy...

Today..two more cards for orders..I don't colour images very often for these ordered cards, as the customers just don't get it!..but they love the flowers and birds so I keep making them..[keeps me in craft stock]

Card one..apricot...

A sentiment for the front...scraps of papers out of my scrap basket....wired pearl things that my G/sons helped make a long time ago.

Peach coloured flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and liquid pearls...


Card Two...Pink..

Gorgeous pink roses off the net...little frame embellishment from my stash and quite a few layers...

Papers from my stash and the paper heart doily too..

So that's me done..gosh, having a day off can really knock you around, I'm feeling quite tired tonight..so will love and  leave you and head for bed soonish..and would you believe I have shredded coconut all over the craft space..on the floor and desk..it's everywhere and I cannot even tell you why...but I bet you guessed!!!

WEDNESDAY ALREADY!!

Hello Everyone....

Gosh!...it is Wednesday night here already and I really don't know what I have been doing...

We had a public holiday on Friday and Monday so it was a long weekend, that I had to work of course..apart from working, the boys, extra clients, an insane dog, a messy craftroom as I had a whoops!!..with embossing powder..cards orders, and trying to get some of my Christmas cards to stay in my box for sending out before they get sold..I'm just not sure what else I have been doing...lol..

Okay, I did have some down time and had a play in my room..here is what I made...

Another tap with running glue..err...water..

I love glossy accents...and lately distressing my edges with my scissors...how stimulating..seriously, I do love to do this.

And a side view..lovely thick layers...

This one I made a wee while ago...the image stirred something inside me..

Layers, cheesecloth, pearls, lace, and pretty lavender..

SIT BACK,RELAX,GRAB A CUPPA OR CHOCOLATE..TIME FOR ANOTHER LONG TUTORIAL!

Hello Everyone...

I have another tutorial for you...and this project was an order for a lady, after looking at THIS project in my lounge...[8"x8"]

Now sometimes [most times]..my mouth flies open and I agree to anything without thinking..

The lady in question said she loved this, but could I make it bigger..$$$$ signs whizzed through my brain and my mouth shot open and said "Of course I can, I will do anything you like "..

And so it all began...hope you are comfy....here we go..

I started with the masking tape..just normal masking tape and layered up the canvas...then painted the whole thing with 2 coats of Gesso primer...edges too. [sorry about the sun sneaking in, but it was very early in the morning..

Then came the mustard yellow paint with water to get it to run through the cracks....

Added another coat of mustard and more water.....

 

 

Then we waited for paint to dry..

 

And WAITED...

Then came the Red Ochre.....and started with the black and MORE water....

More black and more water....

Until I was happy.....

On went the fussy cut Dragonflies after their wings were slather in Glossy accents...and glued onto ripped up cardboard boxe panels..

The sentiment this time was not stamped, but printed from the computer as they had to be big to keep the proportion going..

And of course the splatterings of white paint to finish off...

A close up of the Dragonflies..and the lady was very happy indeed..then turned up with another canvas and asked me to do it all over again with a different word and lighter in colour..I think she has a problem with Dragonflies or masking tape..but I aim to please and here we go again..this time it is 12 inches high and 36 inches long..

MID POST FOR "WHERE THE heART IS..."

Hello Everyone...

Mid way through the month of October [really!!]..and time for a mid way post to inspire you to join our challenge at Where the heART is ... using Stencils..

This time I went a bit more simple..a Christmas card using the image Winter Friends   from our other sponsor for this month...BUGABOO

Coloured with Copics and pencils for shading...the background I used a stencil and paste for snow then added a few sequins for sparkle...

Quite simple....and quite big...but fun  to do...

DELIGHTFUL THURSDAY WITH DIGITAL DELIGHTS

Hello Everyone..

Thursday is here..one more sleep and it will be my day off..yippee...and the sun is shinning..yahoo...and I can do whatever I like YAY!!!.

But  for now it I'm so pleased to be here to share my project for Digital Delights using this gorgeous cute set..Fall Kids Set  and even made a wee tutorial of sorts...

I started by die cutting and gluing leaves down onto my flat canvas...

Then came the Gesso...painted all over...

Now ready for some colours...and using Gelatos, away we went...

A light coating first to get the blending going.....in pink, orange ,green and yellow....

Another coat or two to get some depth and then splattered brown water colour paint on top...

Then came the MB trees...Marianne fence...and all the tiny leaves came with the image and all were fussy cut out..after colouring with Copics..

The images were coloured with copics too and fussy cut out and the scene came together nicely..

NOT ANOTHER WEEK WILL SLIP BY!!

Hello Everyone...

Another day and another card...I'm not going to let another week slip by..

Had a great day in the garden...weeded and looked at all the new seedlings popping up, and the tubers are poking out of the soil in the lovely Spring weather...tonight..COLD SOUTHERLIES..that's Spring for you.

Anyway have another card to share....

I found the garden picture on the net and thought how nice it would be to be sitting in the lounge gazing out of a window at the lovely flowers..

So went through my stash and found one of my chipboard windows from WOC, with the little birds and vines, it was just right.

I distressed the edges again..[ my thing at the moment]  and added a few flowers...didn't really need much more...

The other side view...with a little pearl heart poked in there..

I will see you again Thursday..right now I'm off to play Super Cow at iwin games [love it]...and munch on a kit kat...and if I'm real lucky there will no earthquakes tonight, not like last night..shake rattle and roll..5.8 and lasted for 40 seconds...that's a loooong one...and there were 4 more through the night but I slept through those ones..only small..drop...cover...hold...are the rules and what did we do...sat there in a frozen state and prayed...lol..

ANOTHER WEEK GONE BY!!

Hello Everyone..

I cannot believe another week has flown by..Monday night here and had my Son and his girls for tea and it suddenly dawned on me that I have not posted since last Monday..so since I have just eaten a hot chocolate sponge pudding with ice cream, and feeling rather satisfied and unable to move much, I though I would share a card I made for an order....

Beautiful Rose and butterfly picture off the net..with added lace, cheesecloth,roses and a bow..

A fairly thick card with the layers and dimension from cut up cardboard boxes...

These stand up roses needed thickness to allow them to stand..love them and the colours..I won a candy and these were in that candy from Vicki..a long time ago.

NOTHING MORE SCARY THAN A WITCHES CACKLE..

Hello Everyone...

I had such a good day today...work went smoothly, even with an extra 1 1/2 hr  client tossed in, the wheels kept turning and everyone was happy..
The weather helped as well as it was a beautiful spring day and quite warm, didn't even take a cardigan...

The other great thing about today is.. it is time for a new challenge at..

Where the heART is  ...last month has gone so very fast and we are up to our second challenge...

Our theme we are looking for this month is.. USE A STENCIL...

I used an image from Sassy Studio Designs this time and made a canvas..

THE WICKED WITCH SASSY  ..

There she is with her green skin and showing a bit of leg..really quite beautiful, but I bet she has that Witches cackle..

The background was done with Acrylic paints and the stencil with modelling paste that I made black and added black glitter for a bit of sparkle..

Then came the hairnet and buckle from my stash....

Black raven feathers for leaves with the flowers...and her bottle of sparkly potion in the bottle...

There's the buckle holding the netting in place...

DELIGHTFUL THURSDAY..CHRISTMAS NEW RELEASE..

Hello Everyone...

FRIDAY EVE...which means it's Thursday and the night before my day off..cant wait, but must say the week has gone fast.

.But for now...it is time for DELIGHTFUL THURSDAY   with Digital Delights  and this time round, Team 1..is sharing  the first of our new  Christmas releases...and so very cute.

This is GIFT GIVING GERTIE  ...all coloured up with Copics and Faber Castell pencils...

Papers are Couture Creations " Jolly Christmas"

The sentiment is from Digital Delights Christmas Sentiments Set  and the snowflakes cut with glitter board and my punch was not happy after this...

I added the spots to her skirt to keep it red/green theme and a pom pom on her hat.

It's starting to get very warm here as we move from Spring into Summer..not a lover of the heat and moaning already..lol..
